Corporation is a leading innovator and licensor of visual information
technology. During our 60-year history, we have developed substantial
proprietary technology relating to the electronic storage, processing and
retrieval of data, particularly images. We currently hold approximately 600
patents and patent applications covering digital image processing, digital
image compression and recording technologies. We leverage our investment in
technology through our corporate licensing division that licenses our
patents to manufacturers of consumer electronics products. Through our
wholly-owned subsidiary, Ampex Data Systems Corporation, we also incorporate
this technology in the design and manufacture of very high performance data
storage products, principally used in intelligence gathering and defense
applications to gather digital images and other data from aircraft,
satellites and submarines. |
